Ready for one of the nicest nature walks in Suriname?

Tip: have breakfast at home or bring something to eat along the way.

 

Program

  • At 07:30 AM you will depart from Paramaribo towards the green district of Commewijne. After a short drive of approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at Peperpot Nature Park, where nature immediately comes to life.
  • Walk through Peperpot Nature Park

Together with the guide, you will enjoy a relaxed walk through the tropical rainforest. Along the way, you may hear rustling sounds above you and, with a bit of luck, spot monkeys jumping from tree to tree, colorful butterflies, and perhaps even a sloth high up in the trees.

  • Visit to the old coffee factory

During the walk, you will also discover the history of the plantation. At the remains of the old coffee factory, you will get a good impression of how people used to work and live here in the past.

  • Relaxing stop at Boutique Hotel Peperpot

After the walk, it is time to relax at Boutique Hotel Peperpot, where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and optionally have something refreshing.

  • Around 12:30 – 1:00 PM you will return to Paramaribo.

At Peperpot Boutique Hotel, a small contribution is requested for the use of the restroom facilities, starting from €2 per person, depending on the group size.
