Welcome, I am Ernie de Vries, owner of Orange Travel. I was born and raised in Suriname and after a wonderful youth, I moved to Europe for my studies, where I also worked for some time after completing my education. Even during my student days, I had a passion for travel and spent my free time exploring new cultures and landscapes. In 2005, I returned to my home country Suriname and fell in love with the interior. Very quickly, I set aside my engineering degree to start a tour operating company (turning my hobby into my profession).

Orange Travel has been one of the fastest-growing tour operators since its inception, and the fact that we are still at the forefront since 2007 is partly due to my Surinamese hospitality combined with my Dutch work ethic and discipline, and mostly due to a driven and motivated top team of colleagues.

The strength of this team lies in the knowledge and patience to tailor your dream trip for you. Product knowledge makes the difference, which is why our travel experts and guides go out each year to experience and improve the routes themselves.
