The bird paradise of Suriname
At Bigi Pan Stephanie’s Lodge, you stay in one of the most unique natural areas of Suriname. Bigi Pan, located on the west coast, is a vast wetland area of approximately 68,000 hectares with creeks, mangroves, and open water, known for its rich birdlife and peaceful landscapes.
During your stay, you will experience the tranquility of the water and the impressive nature up close. With more than 120 bird species, every boat trip is an experience in itself, even without birdwatching knowledge. Birds flying overhead, the sounds of nature, and wide open views create a relaxing and unique atmosphere.
From the birdwatching tower, you enjoy panoramic views over the area and, with some luck, you can spot herons, ospreys, jacanas, migratory birds, and the iconic red ibis.
A stay in this special environment guarantees a pure nature experience full of peace, water, and unforgettable moments. Experience it with Orange Travel Suriname!
