🦩 2-day tour
Day 1 – Westward to Nickerie
You depart from Paramaribo and travel towards the west of Suriname. Along the way, you will make several stops to discover the culture, history and daily life of the different districts.
- Departure around 08:00 hrs
- Stop in Groningen (Saramacca), a historic village with Dutch influences
- Visit to the fishing harbor of Boskamp, where fish is processed and traded
- Drive through Coronie, known for its coconut plantations and traditional wooden houses
- Lunch in Coronie
- Drive past Wageningen, Henarpolder and rice fields towards Nickerie
- Visit to the sea wall and Hindu temple
- Boat trip on the Nickerie River
- Dinner and overnight stay
Day 2 – Nickerie & Bigi Pan
After breakfast, you will explore Nickerie and its surroundings. You will get a good impression of the region and its main economic activities.

- Boat trip in Bigi Pan, a nature reserve with more than 120 bird species
