- Headlamp: So you can spot the nocturnal animals.
- Closed shoes or boots:To protect you against snakes, among other things. Please note that it can get wet in the kayak and it can be muddy during the walk.

General information
Transport
Transport is not included in the tour. However, at Orange Travel, we can arrange a taxi for you at €40 per taxi. This taxi will take you from Paramaribo to Peperpot and pick you up again after the tour.
Kayaking
The tour starts at 16:30 from Peperpot Boutique Hotel. Here, you will get into the kayak and paddle through the creeks of Peperpot with an experienced guide. You will paddle under large trees, and the guide will do their best to spot as much wildlife as possible. Especially as dusk falls, the animals become active as they search for their sleeping spot for the evening.
Birdwatching Tower
When you reach the birdwatching tower, you will leave the kayaks and continue on foot. You will climb the birdwatching tower, giving you a different perspective of the nature park. There is also a great chance of spotting more wildlife here. As it gets dark, you will take a short walk through the nature park before slowly making your way back to the kayaks.
Kayaking in the dark
From here, you will paddle the same route back, but the experience will be completely different. Night has fallen, and nocturnal animals such as snakes, spiders, and caimans have awakened. With your headlamp, you will try to spot as many of these night creatures as possible, with the guide's help. By around 23:00, you will be back at the starting point, where you will be treated to a snack and a cool bottle of water.
