Program
- At 08:30 AM, you will depart from the Orange Travel office and cycle towards the Suriname River. Here, you will board a covered boat and cross to Meerzorg. Please note that the first part of the bike ride towards the park is usually against the wind.
- Bike ride through Peperpot Nature Park
Upon arrival, you will explore the lush Peperpot Nature Park by bicycle. Along the way, you may hear movement in the treetops and, with a bit of luck, spot monkeys swinging from tree to tree. You will also have the chance to see various tropical birds and colorful butterflies along the route. With the help of our experienced guides, your chances of spotting sloths are greatly increased as well.
One-way distance:
- Orange Travel → Platte Brug: 1.3 km
- Ferry landing → Peperpot Nature Park: 6.2 km (paved road)
- Bike route within Peperpot Nature Park: 3.2 km
- Peperpot Nature Park → Peperpot Boutique Hotel: 4.2 km
Total one-way distance: 14.9 km
Total return distance: approximately 29.8 km
- Visit to the old coffee factory
During the tour, you will stop at the historic coffee factory, where you will learn more about the plantation’s history. We will also make a short stop at the Peperpot Boutique Hotel, where you can purchase a drink at your own expense.
- Lunch stop at a local restaurant
On the way back, we will stop at a local restaurant, where you will have the opportunity to purchase lunch.
- Around 2:30 PM, you will return to Paramaribo.

At Peperpot Boutique Hotel, a small contribution is requested for the use of the restroom facilities, starting from €2 per person, depending on the group size. This fee is waived if you purchase a drink or another item on-site.
