General information
Departure from Orange Travel
At 08:00, you will depart together with a guide from the Orange office towards the boat. You will sail across the Suriname River to Meerzorg in a tent boat. From here, you will cycle to the Peperpot Nature Park.
Cycling Tour
You will take a cycling tour through the Peperpot Nature Park. Peperpot is known for its diverse wildlife. There is a chance that you will encounter monkeys, sloths, reptiles, and butterflies. You will also pass by several coffee trees and the ‘kofimama’.
Visit to an Old Coffee Factory
From the Peperpot Nature Park, you will arrive at a historic plantation. Here, you will find an old coffee factory where you will receive a guided tour. Along the way, you will also see kamphongs, which are the homes of mainly Javanese and Hindustani residents.
Local Lunch
On our way back to Paramaribo, we will stop by a local restaurant. Here, you can buy your own local lunch in SRD. Once everyone has finished eating, we will continue our journey towards Paramaribo. We will return to the Orange Travel office around 14:00.
