The 2- or 3-day Seliba glamping tour is perfect for travelers looking for a comfortable and relaxing getaway surrounded by nature. On the way, you will take part in a cassava workshop before continuing by boat to the glamping site. You stay in a cozy glamping tent and wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and birds. Everything is fully arranged and taken care of from start to finish, including transportation, meals, activities, and guidance. All you have to do is enjoy.

Ready for a jungle escape at Seliba?
Tip: have breakfast at home and bring a bottle of water for the road.
Day 1 – Journey to Seliba & introduction to the local culture
Your adventure begins in the morning from Paramaribo with a short introduction and a cup of coffee. Afterwards, you travel south towards the jungle.
Along the way, you stop at the indigenous village of Powaka, where you will experience the local culture and take part in an interactive cassava workshop. You will learn how cassava is processed and taste different traditional products.
Afterwards, you continue to plantation Ayo, where you travel by boat to Seliba. As soon as you arrive, you will immediately feel the peaceful atmosphere.

Evening – Jungle walk & campfire
After dinner, you head out for an adventurous jungle walk. Together with your guide, you search for nocturnal wildlife such as frogs and snakes.
Afterwards, there is plenty of time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the jungle.

Day 2 – Morning on the water & relaxation
You wake up to the sounds of howler monkeys and tropical birds. Early in the morning, you take a peaceful boat tour on the river, a perfect moment for wildlife spotting and enjoying nature.
After breakfast, you still have plenty of time to relax or enjoy activities on your own.

Day 3 – Extra experience & history (3-day tour only)
During the 3-day tour, you have an extra day to further explore the surroundings. After a relaxed morning, you depart by boat to the historic Jodensavanne.
Here, you will receive a guided tour and learn more about this unique location with its rich history.
Back at Seliba, you once again have free time to relax or participate in another activity.

The following morning starts once again with an early morning boat tour, after which you return to Paramaribo following breakfast and lunch.

No, wildlife remains part of nature. Our guides do their very best, but sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Do I need to be in good physical condition for this tour?
A basic level of fitness is sufficient. You can make the activities as active or relaxed as you like.
What happens if it rains during the tour?
Rain is part of the tropical climate and actually creates an even greener environment. Tours usually continue as planned.
Is Seliba suitable for children?
Yes, children are welcome. There are special child rates for ages 4–12. Children under 4 years stay free of charge (limited capacity, advance reservation recommended).
Is there WiFi or electricity at Seliba?
There is no WiFi on location and electricity is only available in the common area. It is recommended to bring a power bank.
