Tour Information

Ready for a day adventure to Brownsberg?

Along the way, we make a short stop where you will receive a sandwich and coffee/tea (approximately between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM).

Once at the top, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view over the Brokopondo Reservoir and the surrounding rainforest. Here, we take time to enjoy a relaxing lunch while taking in the breathtaking scenery.

After lunch, the real adventure begins. We hike through the tropical rainforest to the Leo Waterfall and, if the trail is accessible, also to the Irene Waterfall. During this jungle walk, you will be surrounded by the sounds of nature and have plenty of opportunities to spot unique plants and wildlife.

At the waterfalls, you can take a break and enjoy a refreshing natural shower from the cool spring water.

After visiting the waterfalls, we hike back to the top of the mountain. From there, we drive back to Paramaribo, where we arrive again in the early evening with unforgettable memories of a beautiful day in Suriname’s nature.

PLEASE NOTE: Because it is the rainy season, the road can sometimes be more difficult to access. In some cases, a short walk may be required around deep potholes. Please also keep in mind that shoes may get dirty from the red bauxite sand.
