- 15:30 – Pickup service:
Our tour begins with the pickup of guests from the lobby of Hotel Torarica. You will be warmly welcomed by the guide and then taken to Peperpot Nature Park. - 16:00 – Arrival at Peperpot Nature Park:
After a short drive from Paramaribo to the park, you will arrive at Peperpot Nature Park. Your adventure begins here. - 16:15 – Historical Tour:
You will receive an introduction to the history of the park, which was once a thriving coffee and cocoa plantation. - 16:45 – Nature Walk:
Start a guided walk through the lush greenery of Peperpot Nature Park. Admire the rich flora and fauna as your guide tells you about the various plant and animal species you encounter. - 18:00 – 20:00 Birdwatching and Wildlife Observation:
As the sun sets, you will have the chance to spot various bird species, as well as other animals such as monkeys, giant anteaters, and possibly some nocturnal creatures that begin to awaken. - 20:30 – Return to Paramaribo:
The guide will safely return you to your hotel. - 21:30/22.00 Drop-off at Hotel Torarica:

Location: Peperpot Nature Park is one of Suriname’s oldest protected nature reserves, located along the Suriname River in the Commewijne district, just five kilometers outside Paramaribo. This 820-hectare park was once a coffee and cacao plantation and now offers rich biodiversity preserved by a dedicated foundation. A small portion of the park is open to the public for education, recreation, and ecotourism.
Transportation: The tour includes comfortable pick-up and drop-off service from Paramaribo. Guests are picked up at 3:30 PM at the lobby of Hotel Torarica and returned around 9:30–10:00 PM after the tour. The ride to the park takes about 30 minutes, offering a relaxing start and end to your adventure.
Photo Opportunities: Peperpot Nature Park offers countless opportunities for breathtaking photos. While walking through the lush forest, you can capture stunning landscapes and diverse wildlife. Popular photo moments include spotting colorful birds, monkeys in their natural habitat, and the transition from day to night as the evening sun filters through the canopy.
